I hope you are having a great summer! With July coming to a screeching halt and August around the corner, Back to School is not far away. When thinking about Back to School, thoughts about shopping for school supplies are not far behind. As a kid, I relished going to my local store to pick out new notebooks, pens, and supplies. For many students across the United States, whose parents struggle financially, it is often hard to take their children shopping for new school supplies. Working closely with schools, I am certainly aware that many teachers are spending a great deal of their own money to provide their students with the supplies they need. Thinking about all the children and teachers in New Jersey that need school supplies, I decided to do something about it. Running a small pen shop in Chester NJ, it got me thinking about how I could help out. With this in mind, The PenThing will be collecting donations of pens, paper, pencils, erasers, and other school supplies that you can drop off at the store through the end of August. Working with Jersey Cares, we will deliver the donated school supplies to needy schools. In return for your caring and generosity, The PenThing will provide you with a 10% discount on all products in the shop through the end of August. So now is a great time to go into the big box stores and buy up those advertised specials that you can donate to students and schools! If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or give me a call.
